About the Association of Faculties of Pharmacy of Nepal (AFPN)
The Association of Faculties of Pharmacy of Nepal (AFPN) is a national, non-profit, professional organization committed to advancing pharmacy education and strengthening the role of pharmacy educators across Nepal. AFPN serves as a platform for academic excellence, research collaboration, and policy development in the pharmaceutical sciences.

Organize national and international conferences, workshops, and training programs...
Develop and publish high-quality educational materials, textbooks, and scholarly journals.
Provide free and accessible learning resources via YouTube and other digital platforms.
Foster academic research and innovation.
Promote national and global collaboration with pharmacy-related institutions...
Offer strategic policy advice and guidelines to stakeholders.
Support faculty research and professional growth through grants and funding opportunities.
Proposed Structure & Governance
Establishing a Foundation for Collaboration and Leadership
Advisory Board (Proposed)
- Senior Professors (PhD holders) from pharmacy academia – 5 members
- Senior professionals with 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience – 5 members
- Presidents of relevant pharmacy organizations (as required)
Executive Committee Criteria
- Full-time faculty members from accredited Colleges of Pharmacy.
- No political affiliation in the past 3 years (self-declared).
- President and Secretary must hold a PhD and serve at minimum as Assistant Professors.
Representation from Key Institutions
Input and collaboration will be sought from:
- Nepal Pharmacy Council
- Department of Drug Administration
- National Medicine Laboratory
- Ministry of Health and Population
- Ministry of Education, Science & Technology
- University Vice Chancellors
- Senior hospital and community pharmacists
- Nepalese pharmacy professionals working globally (as needed)
